Looking for housing with my dog in Rotterdam or near.
About this listing
My name is Taras and I am a Ukrainian refugee currently residing in Helmond. I am writing to you with deep respect and hope, as I find myself in an increasingly difficult and desperate situation. I arrived in the Netherlands under the Temporary Protection Directive for Ukrainian refugees. However, due to the lack of housing availability, I have been placed in shared accommodation under very difficult circumstances. I currently live in one small room with a woman with whom I no longer have a relationship, along with my dog — my only source of emotional support. I have been informed that there is no possibility of separation or alternative accommodation. This situation is extremely damaging to my mental health, and I am in a deep state of depression. Before arriving in the Netherlands, I suffered greatly. I was imprisoned for over two weeks in Belarus, and later in Poland, I was robbed by a driver who took my documents and money. I arrived here with nothing, in a state of trauma. Still, I found work in logistics and continue to support myself through hard work. Unfortunately, in Helmond, there is no access to job opportunities that match my skills and qualifications. I have over 4 years of experience as a QA engineer in the IT sector, 4 years in pharmaceutical logistics, and more than 10 years as a certified chef and head chef. But work in my field can only realistically be found in larger cities such as Rotterdam or Amsterdam. I believe that if I could relocate to Rotterdam, I could resolve my problems independently: I would have access to more job opportunities, I could begin a full-time career, and find stable housing. I am committed to working hard and not depending on benefits. In addition to my skills, I am also ready to be helpful to any host or family who might offer temporary accommodation. I can assist with cooking, cleaning, and other household responsibilities in exchange for a place to live — until I find a job and am able to pay for housing on my own. Sadly, organizations like Takecarebnb no longer accept Ukrainians under the current program. I have reached out to various municipalities and support networks, but it feels as if every door is closed. I am kindly asking for your support — whether that be emergency accommodation, a , or connection with someone who might be willing to help. I am ready and willing to work and contribute fully to society. Thank you for your time, understanding, and any support you may be able to offer.
